HISTORY OF TABERNACLE OF FAITH CHURCH

Tabernacle of Faith was founded in the home of Richard & Pastor Rose M Jarvis, in September 2001. The church began with (8) eight faithful members. November 2001, Bishop John M. Gray charged Pastor Jarvis and the congregation to go fourth in faith. The ministry was then relocated out of the Jarvis’s home by faith into a rented building off Route 17 in Gloucester, VA. God made provisions and began to send more committed individuals in search of a church home. In 2002 the church purchased its current building in Hayes, VA. In 2008 the ministry had a need for additional office space and room for our growing youth. The church then began an expansion project which added an additional 700 square feet to the building.

The vision given to Pastor Jarvis for Tabernacle of Faith has begun to come to fruition. Because of the favor of God the building has been paid in full and we are continuing to believe God for debt free members.

In March 2009, Pastor Jarvis passed the mantle to Pastor & Co-Pastor Finch to continue to “Build People of Prayer, Power, Purpose, Prosperity and Praise.” Tabernacle of Faith will continue to be a light of hope for the many residents of the surrounding community.
